Having discovered a love for swimming, Christine is fond of the phrase “swimming is my therapy” and sees many similarities between mental health therapy and participating in sports like swimming. In both, envisioning goals, detailed skill building, and continual learning are necessary for optimal development and growth. They also require dedication, hard work, and perseverance to change. And just as the transformational process of an athlete is strengthened through quality, inspiring coaching, progressing through therapy is enhanced with a skilled, encouraging therapist.

Christine is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who has been practicing as a therapist for 20 years having graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology. She is a National Certified Counselor and a Certified EMDR Therapist and is a member of both the American Counseling Association and the EMDR International Association. Her clinical specialties include PTSD and complex trauma. She also enjoys working with military personnel and their families, helping clients establish healthy boundaries in relationships, assisting with relationship reconciliation, and improving how clients cope with challenging life transitions such as divorce and career changes. Christine has always been a learner, participating regularly in individual and group consultation and continually attending professional trainings.

Outside the office, Christine enjoys paddle boarding, loves both indoor and outdoor plants, is an enthusiastic reader, enjoys spending time with family and friends, and takes pleasure in spending time outdoors. She is a member of the local masters swim club and overcame her fear of diving off the starting blocks to swim in her first swim meet a few years ago.
